SWS offers a full service center to service all of your computer needs. From virus removals to hardware upgrades, we do it all. No matter what your technical needs are, SWS has professional technicians that are well versed and knowledgeable. SWS specializes in both current and older computer hardware & software. Our state-of-the-art service area provides our technicians with the most up to date tools and diagnostic software which gives us the ability to easily diagnose your PC and ensure that it is running smoothly. SWS has the quality service and competitive pricing to get you back on-line with a short turnaround time and without breaking the bank. Rush and on-site services are available and must first be approved by consulting with an SWS technician.
Service and Pricing Policy:
- Computer Diagnostic
A Computer Diagnosis is $50 which includes physical cleaning and hardware & software diagnostics. This fee is paid up front and required at time of system check in.
- Laptop Repair
SWS offers a wide variety of laptop repair services. Most laptops will require a diagnostic for regular services such as power issues, hard drive failures, virus removals, and so forth unless damage is apparent. If you need just a keyboard replaced we can special order the correct keyboard and install it for $50 plus the price of the keyboard. If you need a screen replaced, you will need to check in the laptop for a $25 screen compatibility verification fee. After we verify the screen model we can install it for $100 - $200 (depending on the complexity) plus the price of the screen.
- Operating System Installs
We install Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Linux and Mac OS X + for $100 and include a 90 day warranty. If needed we will reinstall the operating system in warranty period.
- Virus Removals
Virus Removals are $75 (not including diagnostic fee). With that we also update windows, drivers, and install a software package that includes Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, and Super Anti-Spyware for the best virus protection. We include a 7 day Virus removal warranty, after 7 days there will be additional charges.
- Data Backup
Data Backup is $25 to attempt and then priced on the amount of data needed to backup as followed:

- Password Removal
Password removal is $25 and only available on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7.
- Hard Drive Enclosure Mount
Hard Drive mounts in external enclosures are $15.
- Prebuild Upgrades
Prebuilds are fully upgradeable. If you would like to upgrade internal hardware to something greater, the fee is $10 labor per part plus the price difference. Power Supply and case may also be swapped for $25 plus the price difference. If customer decides to upgrade 90 days later, the price goes up to $25 plus the price of the part. SWS does not allow used items or any product not purchased from SWS to be upgraded through our service center. If you would like to upgrade the operating system, there will be a $25 labor charge on top of the price difference. If you supply your own operating system disc & serial number you will be credited for the pre-installed operating system, but the labor charge for installation is $50. If you have a Microsoft Office product & serial number you would like installed, the charge is $15.
- Custom PC Builds
SWS can custom build and optimize any computer to your needs. Labor on custom PC builds ranges from $100-250 depending on the complexity of the build. On all custom builds with parts entirely from SWS, a one year parts and labor warranty is included. If parts furnished are not from SWS, the build falls under a normal service which, which acrues hourly labor and only carries a 90 day labor warranty.
- PC Dusting
PCs should be dusted out every 3-6 months. Dust, hair, and smoke all play a part in fan failures leading to hardware failures. A clean PC is key for keeping it running cool and correctly. SWS professionally dusts out PCs with a large air compressor for $15.
- Cable Crimping
SWS can professionally crimp CAT5/CAT6 & RJ11 cables for $15. SWS does carry 1ft to 250ft in CAT5E but if you need a specific cable crimped, we can crimp it for you.
- Other Services
-SWS is now offering limited services on Mac Computers, this includes: hard drive installations, memory installations, and operating system installations.
-We do offer a rush service for $100 diagnostic up front and then double labor rates for any work completed after that.
-If a PC is left at SWS for longer than 30 days from time of check in or date of completion, the PC will be recycled per our service agreement.
On-site Service Policy:
- SWS offers on-site service for those who are unable to make it to our store. There is a minimum trip charge or $25 and our labor rates are $75/hour with a minimum of one hour charge. The $25 trip charge covers a 10 mile radius from our store.
- Beyond the 10 mile radius we charge $75 an hour portal to portal, store to the location and back.
- We do not offer any warranty on on-site services once the technician has left the location. Please verify that all issues are addressed before the technician leaves. SWS may not be able to diagnose intermittent issues.
Recycle Program
- SWS offers free recycling for all your old electronic equipment. Please click here for a list of items and instructions.
Remote Service Policy (Coming Soon):
- SWS will soon be offering remote service that will allow us to diagnose most software related issues on your computer from our store while you are at home. The rate is $75 per hour. Payments are made upfront per the half hour.
- Some computer issues may not be fixable remotely such as bad hardware. These issues can only be fixed hands-on by our professional certified technicians at our service center.
- Virus removal may cause an unstable operating system causing remote repair to fail. This rare event may require you to bring your computer into SWS and check it in at our service center.
- There is no warranty provided with our remote services.
Our goal at SWS is to provide the best quality service and get your PC running at peak performance. We take pride in our work and customer service. If your computer isn’t happy, SWS isn’t happy.
